Collections and search

Ready-made collections.

Start a team, events, products, job openings, documents, branches or an official notice board in one click – with fields, item pages, a list page and the features that keep them current.

Collections → Start from a ready-made collection creates a collection that already knows its job: a team, branches, services, products, references, a price list, events, questions and answers, job openings, machines, courses, documents or an official notice board.

What you get

  • The fields it needs, with fixed keys ({{start}}, {{price}}, {{location}}…), item pages and structured data for search engines.
  • A hidden page at the collection's address that lists the items as cards – add a sentence on top and publish it.
  • Where it makes sense, the page of a hidden or deleted item leads to the list page instead of “page not found”.
  • Everything stays editable: rename fields, add your own, change the item template in the builder.

Claude does the same with create_collection and a preset; list_collection_presets lists them with instructions.

New field types

TypeFor
Date and timeStarts and ends. A whole day has no time. {{start}} shows the date for visitors, {{start_iso}} as stored.
FileA file from Media. {{datasheet}} is its address, {{datasheet_name}} its file name.
LocationLatitude and longitude, e.g. 50.0875, 14.4214.
Choice from optionsOne of the options you list.
ParametersOne Name: value per line – shown as a table and compared between products.
VariantsOne name | code | price per line.

Events and courses

  • The list shows only what is still to come; past events go to a second hidden page, /<address>-archive.
  • A repeating event (a weekly class) is one item: when an occurrence ends, it moves to the next date by itself until Repeats until.
  • Add to calendar on each event page, and /<address>.ics to subscribe to the whole calendar.
  • The registration form on the event page closes when the capacity is taken, when the registration deadline passes and after the event. Registrations arrive in Enquiries.

Products without a checkout

  • Parameters, variants with codes and prices, a datasheet.
  • Add to enquiry collects products in the visitor's browser; the form under the product list sends them as one enquiry. The site checks every line against your products.
  • Visitors tick Compare on up to four products and see their parameters side by side.

Job openings

  • Always set True until to the closing date: the job hides itself afterwards and search engines see when it closes.
  • Each job page has an application form with a CV. Enquiries → Delete job applications after N months sets how long applications are kept.

Documents

  • When you replace a document's file, the previous one is kept in its version history.
  • /<address>/<document>/latest always leads to the current file – link to it from anywhere – and counts the downloads.
  • A form can e-mail a file after the sign-up (the form's option After sending, e-mail this file).

Branches

Each branch has its address, location, phone and opening hours, and search engines get it as a local business. The Store locator element lists them with a search box, Nearest to me and a map that loads only after a click.

Official notice board

  • The board shows notices between their posting and takedown dates; the archive page shows the taken-down ones.
  • Notices are never deleted, and every change, posting and takedown is recorded. The log is under the notice and can be downloaded as CSV.

Screen mode

Settings → General → Screen mode gives a secret address for a TV in a reception or showroom: news, upcoming events and today's opening hours, rotating on their own.
