Pop-ups.

Appearance → Pop-ups (administrators only). A pop-up is a site part like the header: you build its content in the builder, with a draft, versions and a signed preview for colleagues.

Start from a template

Choose New pop-up and start from a template – newsletter sign-up, download for an e-mail, announcement bar, discount, event invitation or a blank one. The pop-up is created turned off and opens in the builder. Publish it, set it up in Settings and turn it on in the list.

Type and trigger

• Type: a window in the middle, a slide-in panel in the corner, a bar at the top or bottom, or full screen.
• Trigger: after a number of seconds, after scrolling part of the page, when the visitor is about to leave, after seconds without activity, after a number of pages in the visit – or only by a link or button to #popup-<address>. That link opens the pop-up at any time.

Where and how often

• Where: the whole site, or selected pages, collection item pages and news; a language version and a period. Outside the period the pop-up is not added to the page at all.
• Who: phones or computers only, visitors from a campaign (text in utm_*) or from a given site.
• Frequency: once per visit, once every N days, until the visitor closes it, until they send the form in it, or every time. The visitor’s browser remembers it – no cookies.

Results

The list shows views, closes and conversions – a form sent or a newsletter sign-up in the pop-up. They are counted without cookies and without signed-in users. A form in a pop-up goes to Enquiries like any other.

Accessible by default

Escape and the × button close every pop-up, focus moves into a window and returns afterwards, animations respect reduced motion, and no pop-up opens over the cookie bar or over another window.

With Claude

Claude can create pop-ups (save_popup), build their content with the build tools and the popup parameter, and read the results (list_popups). It turns a pop-up on only when you ask.
