Backups, updates and site export.
Weekly automatic backups (also off-server over FTP/FTPS or S3), signed updates with automatic security releases, and an open export of your content.

Backups
Settings → Backups and updates.
- Automatic backup once a week – created when an administrator signs in and the last backup is older than a week. The last 10 are kept.
- Off-server copies over FTP/FTPS or to S3-compatible storage (Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, Cloudflare R2) – a backup on the same disk does not protect you from losing the hosting.
- A restore is checked first and rolled back if the backup is damaged.
Updates
New versions are signed by the publisher. The site verifies the signature and every file before installing, backs up the database first and rolls back if anything fails. Releases marked as security updates can install automatically (recommended); other versions you install yourself on the same screen.
Site export
Import and export → Site export creates a package with the content – pages, news, collections, site parts and classes – and media, for moving elsewhere. Enquiries and user accounts are never exported.
