Administrators, editors and news authors – plus custom roles with a chosen set of sections, two-factor sign-in and passkeys.
Administration → Roles
Built-in roles
- Administrator – can do everything.
- Editor – manages all content and publishes.
- News author – writes their own news and publishes only with the publishing permission.
Custom roles
In Administration → Roles create a named set of sections – for example Sales with Enquiries only. Changing a role updates all its members.
Signing in
- Two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app (scan the QR code), with one-time backup codes; the site can require it for everyone.
- Passkeys can replace the code for an account with two-factor sign-in.
- Forgotten passwords are reset by e-mail; a login limit and account lockout slow down guessing.
Each user manages their password, two-factor sign-in, passkeys, access tokens and connected apps in My account.
Administration → Change log shows who changed what in the admin.
