News, forms and company

Online booking of appointments.

Services, the people who provide them, free times and a booking form on the site – confirmations, cancel links and reminders, no payments.

Set it up

  1. Bookings → Services: what can be booked, how long it takes, a buffer after it (cleaning up, travel) and a price text to show (no payments).
  2. Bookings → People: who provides which services, their weekly hours and days off. Someone without own hours follows the site's opening hours; the site's closed days apply to everyone.
  3. Put the Booking element on a page in the builder.

What visitors see

They choose a service, a person (or anyone), a day in a month calendar and a free time, then leave a name, e-mail and phone and agree to the processing of their data. Without JavaScript they get a list of the next free times. Free times leave out breaks, days off, existing bookings with their buffers, a minimum lead time and anything beyond the booking horizon – and the same time can never be booked twice.

E-mails

  • The customer gets a confirmation with a link to cancel (until a set number of hours before) and a calendar file.
  • The person and the site get a notification.
  • A reminder goes out before the appointment.

Day to day

Bookings lists what is coming up by day, with filters; mark a booking done or not attended, cancel it (the customer gets an e-mail) or add one by hand. Bookings hold personal data: they are deleted or anonymised with the enquiry retention and appear in personal data requests. Claude can check availability and set up services and people, but reading bookings is logged in the change log.
