Statistics.

Cookie-free visits and the leads they bring: pages, campaigns, referring sites, devices, pop-ups and news – plus Google Analytics, Matomo or Plausible.

Administration → Statistics shows how many people visit the site and which pages, campaigns and sites bring enquiries and newsletter sign-ups. It measures without cookies, so visitors do not have to consent.

Periods and totals

Pick 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 365 days at the top. Four tiles sum up the period:

  • Visits and Page views.
  • Leads (enquiries and sign-ups) – form enquiries plus confirmed newsletter sign-ups.
  • Visits that became a lead – the conversion rate.

The chart Page views and visits by day follows. Hover over a bar to see the numbers for that day, including leads. The start screen of the administration shows the last 14 days too.

What the tables show

  • Pages that bring leads – views, Enquiries / sign-ups and Conversion for each page.
  • Campaigns – visits and leads from links with utm_ parameters, shown as source / medium / name.
  • First pages of visits that brought a lead – where the visit that ended in a lead started. Known only for visitors who allowed marketing in the cookie bar, and only when Remember where leads came from is on (see Privacy and cookies).
  • Where visitors come from – the sites that sent visitors.
  • Devices – phone, tablet or computer.
  • Pop-ups – views, conversions and conversion rate. These counters run since the pop-up was made or reset, not for the chosen period.
  • Most read news – the ten news items with the most views.

How it measures

A visit is one visitor on one day. Kaleta recognises a visitor by a code made from the IP address, the browser and a key that changes every day. The IP address itself is never stored, and the codes are deleted after a day or two, so nobody can be followed over time.

  • No cookies and no consent needed.
  • Bots and automated tools are not counted. Neither are previews.
  • The referring site and the campaign are recorded once per visit. Links within your own site do not count.
  • Only counts are kept. Page and campaign details older than about 400 days are deleted.

Ask Claude

Claude reads the same report with get_stats, for 7, 30, 90 or 365 days. Ask it which pages bring enquiries or how a campaign went. It gets counts only, no personal data.

Settings → Analytics

  • Built-in statistics – switches this measurement on or off. When it is off, the Statistics screen says so. The screen also needs the Statistics extension, which is on by default.
  • Google Analytics – enter the measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX). With a cookie bar on (see Privacy and cookies), it runs only after the visitor consents.

Under Other tools (Matomo, Plausible, custom code):

  • Matomo – address and Matomo – site ID for your own Matomo. It waits for analytics consent like Google Analytics.
  • Plausible – domain – uses no cookies and loads without consent.
  • Custom code in the head – inserted on every page regardless of consent. Use it only for code that stores no cookies.
